Ginger Spice Cookies

3/4 cup margarine
1 egg
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup molasses
2 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp each; ginger, cinnamon
1/2 tsp each; cloves, nutmeg
juice and pulp of 1 lemon

Cream margarine and sugar. Add beaten egg & lemon.
Sift dry ingredients 3 or 4 times.
Mix all ingredients together. (Dough should be light)
Spoon balls onto greased cookie sheets and press down.
Bake at 375 F for 10 to 15 min.
