Preheat oven to 425 F
2 lbs boiling potatoes, thinly sliced
1/2 clove garlic to rub pan
4 Tbs margarine
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 cup grated swiss cheese
1 cup boiling milk
Rub baking dish with garlic and 1 Tbs margarine.
Spread half of potatoes on bottom of dish.
Divide over them half of the salt, pepper, cheese and margarine.
Arrange other half of potatoes on top and season them.
Spread rest of cheese and margarine on top.
Pour on boiling milk. Set dish over heat and when simmering,
set in upper third of oven.
Bake for 20 to 30 min. until tender, milk absorbed and top is
browned.
