Jean Ringling's Meatballs

Mix twice ground:
1 lb beef
1/4 lb pork
1/4 veal

2 cups fine bread crumbs
3 4 beaten eggs
1 large ground onion
1 cup tomato juice
Worcestershire sauce
salt
pepper
pleasoning salt
Form into small balls and fry in oil until brown without
sticking to pan. (Can be baked in oven). Reheat before
serving.

Sauce:

Combine in large saucepan:
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tsp dry mustard
1 Tbs paprika
1 tsp chili powder
pinch salt
scant cayenne pepper
1/3 cup vinegar
1 & 1/2 cups tomato juice
1 medium bottle ketchup

Simmer for 15 20 minutes. Serve hot with meatballs.
